After spending time equine nursing overseas and in Matamata, Maria decided to settle back at home on the Coast near her family. She has been working with us since 2011. In the early years, you would have caught her on farm at any available opportunity, but now you will find her in the office keeping the rest of us in line and organized. Maria's 'spare time' is spent looking after her sheep flock or in the kitchen cooking up a storm for work morning teas or any family occasion. Those who venture into the clinic around New Years may have even been lucky enough to enjoy Maria's Oliebollen (Dutch doughnuts).

It’s a dog’s life as they say and Jeff is in charge of the welcoming committee at the Hokitika clinic. It’s a big job, he is currently negotiating his salary to include whatever is in the pig scrap bucket in the kitchen, until then, he will accept attention, ear scratches and long walks on the beach.
